Electrochemical machining was used at the enterprises relating in the early 90s to light industry beginning with the Decree of the Government Ministers Council on providing technical support to them by the Ministry of Aircraft Industry.
To manufacture die tooling for various purposes, new at that time models of electrochemical machines ОМА-1750 (and later ЭС-4000) were specially produced and supplied to a great number of enterprises of garment accessories, imitation jewelry, footwear, glass industries of all the republics of the former USSR.
Since that time dimensional electrochemical machining has become indispensible in tool manufacturing at enterprises of light industry.
